Summary

As the Director of ERP System you will oversee Lyell’s Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to support Lyell’s ERP and systems strategy. The position requires a broad understanding of the ERP, regulatory frameworks and obligations, including both GxP and SoX, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of Oracle Fusion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, Technical Operations and Information Technology. This role is based either in our South San Francisco or Seattle offices. Remote/flexible working options may be available within the states of California and Washington.

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall budget and management of Oracle, working with various functions to ensure their business needs are planned for, communicated and met
  • Owner of the ERP Roadmap and the alignment across business units for the ERP solution. Provides key input into the overall IT roadmap
  • Implement and manage project and implementation governance for new modules or major changes to enhance the functionality of the system
  • Partner with Technical Operations, Finance, Procurement and other stakeholders to implement a unified Oracle system change request process to enable GMP and non-GMP changes in compliance with GMP and SOX requirements
  • Responsible for the non-GMP system interfaces between ERP and upstream/ downstream systems.
  • Manage Lyell’s ERP Support Program by partnering with key stakeholders to ensure alignment across functions, as well as corporate and operational goals are met.
  • Own the overall Oracle contract and licenses
  • Coordinate and oversee system upgrades and system administration activities

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of ERP system experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with vendor oversight experience.
  • At least 5 years management experience including management of both budget and a technical team
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Fusion (Finance, Procurement and SCM modules)
  • Experience with SOX and GxP frameworks

Other Relevant Experience

  • Experience with cell therapies is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle EBS desired
  • Performed at least 1 (one) full life cycle implementation of Oracle EBS/Cloud Modules
  • Experience with middleware platforms such as Mulesoft or Dell Boomi
  • Managing medium- to large-scale projects
  • Management of a full service end-user technical support
    Minimum Education
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other
    close-related fields
